Don’t Stop at Partial Healing
There’s a man at the pool of Bethesda who has been sick for thirty-eight years. Jesus asks him, “Do you want to get well?” That might seem like a strange question—but it’s a necessary one. Healing requires participation.
Many people stop halfway. We start the journey, feel a little better, and then retreat. But God never intended to leave you halfway healed. Healing isn’t just physical or emotional—it’s spiritual, relational, and generational. It touches every part of you.
In Luke 17, ten lepers are healed, but only one returns to give thanks. Jesus tells him, “Your faith has made you whole.” Don’t miss that. All were healed, but only one was made whole. That’s what God is after in you. Not just improvement. Wholeness.
The work God started in you—He intends to finish. But you have to keep showing up. Keep surrendering. Keep trusting. Healing is messy, but wholeness is worth it.
Reflection Questions:
- Where have you been tempted to settle for partial healing in your life?
- How can you keep cooperating with God’s process to move toward wholeness?
Prayer:
Lord, I don’t want to stop halfway. I want to be made whole. Thank You for starting a good work in me—and for being faithful to complete it. Give me the strength to keep walking until I see the fullness of what You promised. In Jesus’ name, amen.
