Being a Witness for Jesus: This Is How You Do ItSample

Witnessing with Your Words
Acts 4:20
“For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
The first disciples simply could not stop talking about Him.
Jesus gave them this command:
John 15:27
“And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.”
They had seen, heard, and experienced Jesus. And it changed their lives. And you?
You’ve experienced something with Jesus, too.
You are also called to share it.
Not with fancy words, but with your own story.
People are rarely moved by theological debates.
They are touched by your personal testimony.
What has Jesus done in your life?
How has He changed you?
Your story—told with simplicity, vulnerability, and honesty—has power.
Take note: don’t testify with a wagging finger. Jesus didn’t do that either. Luke 7:34 (NKJV)
“Jesus was a friend of sinners.”
You don’t need to point out people’s faults. Just share what God has done in your life. That’s enough.
Here's an example structure for your testimony:
Before – What was my life like without Jesus?
The Change – How did I come to know Jesus?
Now – What has changed since that encounter?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, give me the boldness to share my story. Help me touch people with Your love, not my opinions. Let my words bring life. Amen.
Activation:
Practice your testimony today. Write it out in 3 short paragraphs. Ready to share!
