Day 3: Let Grace Guide You

Scripture:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Reflection:

When I first joined a gym, I had no idea where to start, and to be honest, I think that's how many people feel when they open the Bible—eager to grow but overwhelmed by where to begin. We assume it's all on us: read more, study harder, do better. But Grace says, "You're not reading alone." The same Holy Spirit who breathed the words of Scripture now lives in you, and He's not just present; He's personal. He's not waiting to quiz you; He's ready to guide you. He's called the Spirit of Grace for a reason. He walks with you through every page, helping you see what to do and who God really is. When we allow the Spirit of Grace to lead us, the Bible comes alive; it's no longer just information being internalized, it's transformation being experienced. So, how does it do that? According to Paul's letter to Timothy, it teaches us how to live, and that is from love...not for approval, but from it. It does not correct us to shame us, but to restore us to our true identity. It trains us, not by external religious pressures, but by the internal presence of His Spirit. Paul writes: "...work out your salvation with fear and trembling," but he didn't stop there. He reminded us that "it is God who works in you." This means you're not working hard to impress God; instead, you are learning to respond to the work He is already doing within you. Let's take a pause today to reflect on God's Grace and guidance during this journey. Remember, you're not reading the Bible alone; it's the very Spirit of Grace that guides you.

Jesus, I thank You that Your Holy Spirit will never leave me. As I read Your word today, may I hear the voice of Your Spirit guiding me through it. Amen.
