You're Not AloneSample

Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Devotional:
For years, we silently carried the belief that if we had enough faith, we wouldn’t still be here waiting, longing, aching.
After our third miscarriage, we were devastated. We started wondering what we were doing wrong. We cried out to God: “What more do You want from us? Why does this keep happening?” It felt like we were carrying both grief and guilt as if our faith just wasn’t strong enough.
But here’s the truth we had to unlearn and relearn:
Faith isn’t proven by outcomes. It’s revealed in the waiting. Faith is not a transaction. It’s not a pass/fail test. It’s a muscle grown in the wrestling, in the surrender, in the daily choice to believe that God is still good when life doesn’t feel fair.
Some days, faith looked like walking into yet another appointment with more questions than answers. Other days, it meant sitting together in silence because the words were just too hard to find.
If you find yourself waiting right now, unsure if your faith is enough, please hear us: Your faith is not measured by how strong you feel today. It’s not defined by how loud your prayers are or how long you’ve waited. Faith is alive in the quiet persistence of showing up, choosing love, and hoping when it would be easier to quit. Even here, especially here, God is still strengthening you.
“Before you move into reflection, take a moment together. Let this be a safe space to be honest—with yourself, with each other, and with God.”
Reflect Together:
Faith is not found in the things we do, but in the person of Jesus.
- What have we believed about faith during this season of waiting? Have we confused delays with failure, or unanswered prayers with being unloved?
- How can we remind each other that waiting, denial, or a different path is not failure? God promised to be with us and guide us in all the steps He would take with us along the journey.
Prayer:
Jesus, we’re learning to trust You in the unknown and the not-yet. Strengthen our faith where it's weary. Teach us to wait with hope, not shame. And help us see that faith still lives here between us and with You. Amen.
