When You Give God Room

Sometimes 8:30 is too early on Sundays, right?

It’s early. Especially when you’ve got kids and you’re trying to get ready for church. Snacks, car seats, negotiations.

But it’s amazing what happens when you give God room.

When you open your heart—even a little bit—God fills it. And when you encounter Him, you don’t want to miss it again.

That’s why we do this. That’s why we worship. That’s why we’re here.

Not out of tradition or routine—but because we’re hungry.

And the thing is, hunger doesn’t always feel exciting. Sometimes it just feels like dragging yourself out of bed. Sometimes it’s sitting in church when it’s hard to focus. Sometimes it’s being present even when you don’t feel anything.

But God sees the hunger.

We’re not here to tick a box. We’re not here for religion. We’re here because something in us knows—there’s more.

You don’t need the right words. You don’t need the perfect attitude. You don’t need a plan.

You just need to show up.

Because when you give Him something, He meets you there.

Sometimes people ask, “How do I experience God?”

You just make space.

You open the door, and He comes in.

You give Him a moment, and He does something with it.

You give Him a response, and He gives you more of Himself.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be open.
