30 Days of Delighting in the WordSample

Day 1
Intro
Obeying God’s Word is meant to be a delight for us. Matthew 11:29-30 says, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
We are invited every day to be yoked with Jesus—to do life with Him, through the Holy Spirit.
Living out God’s Word is a delight and not a burden as we lean on the Holy Spirit to give us a revelation of the goodness of Jesus through the Word of God.
Before you read and pray over each verse in the next 30 days, be sure to invite the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to see the Word rightly and find Jesus real.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” - Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)
We are all yearning for direction and the right path. May we remember that the Word of God is the lamp to show us the right next steps we are to take, and the light to our path. Take time daily to read the Bible and meditate on His Word so that we can walk on the paths of righteousness.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it” (Matthew 7:13 NKJV).
May we not be quick to follow the broad road where many go, but instead seek the narrow way of Jesus and follow His Word.
Prayer: Jesus, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Help me to seek Your word and Your way as my way of life every single day.

About this Plan

God's Word was never meant to be a burden, but a delight. This 30-day plan will guide you through Psalm 119, a chapter that emphasizes the beauty and necessity of meditating and obeying God’s Word. Each day you’ll pray through a verse from Psalm 119, asking the Holy Spirit to give you revelation and understanding of Jesus in the Word. As you commit to meditating and praying Scripture, you’ll cultivate a hunger for God’s Word and a heart to obey and delight in His Word.
