Dear Child: Letters From the One Who Knows You BestSample

Letter 3: You Are Never Alone
My Precious Child,
I want you to know—deep down—that you are never alone. I am with you always. My Spirit lives in you, dwells in you, and will never leave you (John 14:16; 2 Timothy 1:14). I’ve made My home in your heart, and I’ve sealed you with a promise that cannot be broken (Ephesians 1:13).
You are My temple, and My presence in you is constant (1 Corinthians 3:16). You don’t have to search for Me. You don’t have to beg for closeness. I’m already closer than your breath. You are in Me, and I am in you (John 14:20). You abide in Me, and I in you, like a branch in a vine—forever joined, forever nourished (John 15:5).
The world may misunderstand you. Circumstances may change. People may leave. But I never will. I’ve given you My Spirit as a pledge—a down payment on an eternal inheritance (2 Corinthians 5:5). I have called you My own, and My love for you is unshakable.
I speak to you through Jesus, through My Word, through My Spirit. You have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16), and the Holy Spirit is your constant teacher and guide (John 14:26; 1 John 2:27). When you feel uncertain, I am your wisdom. When you feel weak, I am your strength.
Even when you feel far off, you have been brought near by the blood of My Son (Ephesians 2:13). Even when you doubt, I remain faithful (2 Timothy 2:13). My love does not waver.
So rest today. You are not wandering. You are not abandoned. You are never, ever alone.
With eternal affection,
Your Father in Heaven
