Jesus First in EverythingSample

Jesus Must Be First in Everything
“He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.” Colossians 1:18 (ESV).
Jesus rose from the dead and now has first place in everything. He deserves to be first in our hearts, our choices, our time, and our relationships. Life works best when He is at the center. Nothing else can take His place—not success, comfort, or control. When Jesus is first, everything else falls into place.
Is Jesus first in your life today? What’s one thing you need to surrender to Him so He can be first?
Prayer: Father God, I want Jesus to be first in my life. Please show me anything that I’ve put ahead of Him. Help me give You my full attention, love, and trust. May Jesus be first in everything. In Jesus name, Amen.

About this Plan

Jesus is more than a teacher or a good example. He is the center of everything. In Colossians 1:15–18, we see that Jesus is the image of God, the Creator of the world, the One who holds everything together, and the Head of the Church. These truths show us why Jesus should be first in every part of our lives. Over the next five days, this devotional will help you know Jesus better and make Him your top priority.
