God Within Us: Expressing Jesus, Listening to the Spirit, and Revealing the Father's Glory.Sample

To abide in Him means to respond to His invitation to unite with Him. A patch is adhered only from one side, while a graft connects deeply with the plant, choosing to draw from its sap and remain attached to bear fruit. This unity, stemming from the will of both parties, has beautiful implications:
The first realization is that when we look at Jesus, we are seeing the God of the Universe. As we get to know Him better, we begin to dismantle the misconceptions created by our guilt and shame or by adhering to a religion that prevents us from seeing ourselves face-to-face with God. Jesus reveals a God who genuinely cares for us and listens to us as we are. He is a God who enjoys our company and is intimately close to us. His essence is love; He is the source of love, from which all love originates.
Would you like to understand or experience what God is like? It's love. He is the ultimate solution to heal our broken, wounded, and addicted nature, guiding us toward fullness and completeness. Love has the power to accomplish wonderful things.
The second important point is to understand that through Jesus, we encounter a God who takes the initiative—a God who is actively working on our behalf, even when we may ignore or reject Him. Through Him, we can create powerful possibilities for others and open up opportunities for reconciliation in a wounded world.
The third truth, which builds on the previous two, is that Jesus commissions us to do the same things He did with the Father. Just as the Father and Jesus were one, and Jesus expressed the Father's will, He now wants to express Himself on earth through us. This is reflected in the scripture as John 14:12 says: “Truly I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father." Jesus showed us how His life mirrored God so that we can reflect Jesus in our everyday lives.
Our constant question before undertaking this important task will be: How can I unite with Christ to express it? Moreover, we should ask ourselves: What works could and should I do here on Earth according to my own design and reality? The answer lies not only in the longings God has placed in our hearts but also in responding to the question: What should I allow Christ to accomplish through me for others? How will I express this?

About this Plan

In a world where we are encouraged to focus on ourselves and forget the eternal, God invites us into a relationship where we can affirm and express His glory to humanity. Understanding God will take all of eternity; however, John shares some of Jesus' revelations about a triune God who desires to reveal Himself to us.
