God as Our Sustainer, Not Just a Comforter
Scripture
Psalm 139:7 NIV – “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence?”
Reflection
Loneliness can trigger chronic inflammation and weaken immune function. In contrast, social connection and, in this case, especially our connection to Father God, supports circulation, immune health, and mental resilience. This comes from the peace mentioned in Day 2. Have you ever asked God where is He? All you feel is the loneliness and the effects it has on your body. You can no longer feel His presence. My friend, this is where walking by faith and not by sight (or feeling), mentioned in 2 Corinthians 5:7, comes in play. This is the time you trust in God’s presence, power, and promises, even when there is no evidence or feelings to support you. Has Father God ever given you a reason to mistrust Him?
Journaling Prompt
Write down times you felt truly known by God. Record as the Psalmist did all the times Father God has shown up and given you victory over whatever you were fighting at that time. How might His presence be the deeper support your body and heart need? Write down every scripture that pertains to your situation. Then read them aloud every day. Because faith comes from hearing the word of God, Romans 10:17.
Prayer
“Father, You are with me—even when I feel invisible. Sustain me in body, mind, and spirit by Your eternal presence.”
Declaration
There is no place that I can go that you, Father God, are there. Though I may feel unseen by people, I am fully seen and loved by God. His peace wraps around my heart like a warm blanket, guarding me from despair. (Psalm 139:1-5)
