Light exposes darkness. It helps us see things we didn’t see before, giving us revelations. Light enables us to see where we are going. It protects us from dangerous areas and things. Light makes some people uncomfortable. It shines, and sometimes, it attracts things and people. You can see the light from a great distance.
Let there be light.
When I can’t see my way, and I don’t know what to do, light helps me. Sometimes, when I’m walking through dangerous situations or in situations that I can’t see, I simply whisper, “Let there be light.” You should try it. I find myself saying what God said. As I speak what God says, I find clarity, peace, protection, and revelation. I find light in the darkness. I see what I missed before. I believe that we are in a great season for this.
Let there be light.
Do you want to know something else? Light is on the inside of every believer. Because light exposes, it makes darkness uncomfortable. Have you ever been around a person and they didn’t like you, but you couldn’t figure out why? They didn’t like you, but you never did anything to them. You never said anything out of the way. You’ve only been friendly and kind to them. It wasn’t you, but it was the Light that was shining inside of you. Do you know what that Light is? It’s Jesus. Jesus is shining in you and through you. You make darkness mad. You make darkness uncomfortable. BUT can I encourage you right here? You’re just doing your job.
Let there be light.
Light is supposed to shine. Light is supposed to be bright. Light is supposed to bring exposure. Let there be light. Don’t let anyone or anything dim your light. Don’t let any dark situation push you away. If anything, ask God to send more light to help you. Don’t forget, He’s hovering, and He’s waiting for you to ask for help. Let there be Light on your job. Let there be Light in your home. Let there be Light in your churches. Let there be Light in your community. Let. There. Be. Light.
Prayer:
God, sometimes I've needed to see what I couldn’t see. I didn’t know what to do in those situations, but now I do. God, I’m asking You now, let there be Light. Let there be Jesus in me and through me. Let there be Jesus around me. I need Your Light, in Jesus’ name, amen.
