His Counsel

I will praise the LORD, who counsels me.

And he will be called Wonderful Counselor. … Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have understanding and power. … Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. … Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.

I know, O LORD, that a man’s life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps. … Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” … Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. … A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?
