30 Days of Prayer: A Call to Care for the World's Most VulnerableSample

Day 17: Prayer for Faith and Trust in God
Reflection: Faith is both a gift from God and a choice we make daily. For children, developing faith and trust in God can be challenging, especially when their circumstances seem to contradict God's goodness and love.
When we pray for faith and trust in God, we're asking God to reveal himself to children in ways they can understand and accept. We're interceding for children who have been disappointed by adults, who have experienced trauma that makes trust difficult, and who struggle to believe in a loving God. We're also praying for families and communities that model faith and trust; helping children see what it looks like to depend on God. Faith often grows through testimony: hearing how God has worked in others' lives. It also develops through personal experience as children learn to trust God with small things and see his faithfulness.
Today, let us pray for growing faith among children, for opportunities for them to experience God's love personally, and for communities that nurture and celebrate faith. May we be living examples of what it means to trust God completely.
