You Must Be Born AgainSample

A Change in Nature: The Old Has Passed
Being born again doesn't mean adopting another religion; it means receiving a new nature. The Bible says we must put off the old self and put on the new, created like God in true righteousness and holiness. Before, our former nature inclined us toward sin, but in Christ we now have a nature that loves righteousness and truth. This change is progressive and requires our cooperation with the Holy Spirit in the process of sanctification. Every decision we make either strengthens our new nature or feeds the old one. Today, choose to feed your spirit with prayer, Scripture, and communion with God to strengthen your new nature and live as a child of light.
Prayer:
Lord, I thank You because in Christ I am a new creation. Today I choose to put off my old nature for the new one You’ve created. Help me walk in righteousness and holiness, leaving behind all sin that entangles me. Holy Spirit, strengthen my inner life so I can reflect Christ in my thoughts, words, and actions. Thank You for making me new in You. Amen.
