She Reads Truth: Women In The Bible, Part 1Sample

One consistent theme we are seeing in this Part 1 of our Women in the Bible study is how often the women we are studying (and we ourselves!) fail to truly lean on God's promises. We take things into our own hands, we think we know what's best, and inevitably, we often bring much heartache upon ourselves in the process.
Today, as a body of women, let’s meditate on and memorize Proverbs 3:5,6. Not for our own glory or honor, but for the joy of our Father and the growth of His Truth in our hearts.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5,6 (ESV)

About this Plan

The SheReadsTruth “Women in the Bible” series comes in four 2-week parts. We will not only study the popular heroines of scripture, but several other women God uses in His great through small matters and through the broader story of Redemption. In Part 1 of the study, let’s examine some of the earliest mentioned women in the Bible, including Eve, Sarah, Hagar, Lot’s wife and several others.
