Sacred Jealousy: Stop Fighting Your Jealousy and Start Following ItSample

Day 2: Right Calling, Wrong Coordinates
Joshua was having a jealousy moment. Two men were prophesying in the camp without official permission, and Joshua wanted Moses to shut it down.
But Moses? He had a completely different response: "I wish EVERYONE could do this!"
The Jealousy That Reveals Your Assignment
Here's what Joshua missed: His protective jealousy over Moses' ministry actually revealed God's heart for widespread prophecy. Joshua was sensing something sacred—he just had the wrong response.
Sound familiar?
When you're jealous of someone's thriving business, explosive ministry, or amazing family life, you might be sensing God's desire for that area of life. The problem isn't the longing—it's assuming it should look exactly like theirs or happen on their timeline.
Why Your GPS Is Pointing the Right Direction
Think about the last time jealousy really hit you:
- Their successful ministry → God's showing you His heart for ministry impact
- Their financial breakthrough → God's revealing His desire for your stewardship growth
- Their family harmony → God's pointing toward His design for relationships
You're picking up the right signal. You're just looking at the wrong coordinates.
The Moses Mindset Shift
Moses didn't say, "Stop them—only I should prophesy." He said, "I wish everyone could experience what God's doing here!"
What if instead of resenting others' success, you started seeing it as proof that God moves in that area? What if their breakthrough became evidence that God wants to move in your life too—just differently?
Tomorrow, I'll give you three questions that turn your jealousy into a personal GPS system for finding your unique calling.
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for resenting others' success instead of celebrating what You're doing through them. Help me see their breakthroughs as evidence of Your desire to move in my life too. Show me how to want what You want without comparing timelines or methods.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
