Finding Your JoySample

How to Keep Joy Flowing
If joy is already in us, the question we all ask is: how do I keep it flowing—especially when life is hard?
The key is focus. Isaiah 26:3 says God keeps us in perfect peace when our minds are stayed on Him. The same is true for joy. When you focus on your problems, you feel overwhelmed. But when you focus on God—His promises, His character, His goodness, His power—joy begins to bubble up again.
Jesus said in John 15 that when we abide in Him, we bear much fruit. That includes joy. So staying close to Him, keeping His Word in front of your eyes and heart, and talking with Him throughout your day—all these keep joy flowing.
Worship shifts your perspective. Gratitude lifts your spirit. The Word reminds you of who you are and whose you are. All these are practical ways to keep joy stirred up in your daily life.
Joy doesn’t mean life is perfect—it means your heart is anchored in Someone who is.
So today, focus on your Provider instead of you problems. Take a few minutes to thank God, worship Him, and refocus your heart. Pray this: “Lord, thank You for Your joy in me. I choose to draw on it today as my strength.”
