No Separation

Many of us walk around believing that we can lose the love of God. Just think about it this way: have you ever questioned God’s feelings toward you when things got hard in life? Our circumstances don’t reveal the favor of God. His present love does that.

There are many disappointments in this life. But God is not one of them. He is faithful, present, and always consistent in fulfilling his Word and showing his love. He doesn’t change his mind about us as the seasons shift or as our bodies change. He remains resolute in loyal love always. The more we discover God’s heart for us, the more we will experience his refreshing goodness and be filled with gratitude. There isn’t anything for us to prove today. He welcomes us as we are with open arms, and he encourages us to trust him. He will astound you with his kindness time and again.

Nothing can ever separate you from the love of God. Not trials, hardships, or someone badmouthing you. Not natural disasters, losing the shirt off your back, or someone holding a weapon against you. Absolutely nothing can separate you from his present love. It is always near because he is always near. Don’t let your troubles trick you into thinking that God has turned his back on you. He promised to never leave or abandon you. He promises to be with you to the very end. He will not fail you, and you have his Spirit dwelling in you to strengthen you in your weakness, bring peace to the chaotic thoughts, and heal your whole being. The love of Christ is even closer than the air that you breathe and more constant than the oxygen, too.

Remind yourself when you are uncomfortable today that God’s love is closer than your breath.
