Ups & Downs of Motherhood - God in 60 SecondsSample

The world needs female heroes
Is there more than Wonder Woman?
As a mother of three daughters and the grandmother of three granddaughters (and counting), I want to say that women should be celebrated as role models.
The problem with most female characters portrayed in our culture is that they tend to be overly sexualised, stripped of all femininity, or are not allowed to show how they can define physical or emotional strength.
When movie studios manage to find the right combination of power and femininity, it is no wonder that they explode in popularity (like Wonder Woman and Black Widow).
It might surprise you to know that there are examples of strong women—and men who appreciate them—throughout the Bible. We don't have to wait for more movies.
Rahab, Ruth, Deborah, Mary, Priscilla, and many more women had an impact on history and the Christian faith.
We need to acknowledge that Christianity is a faith that values female heroes, too.
Have you taken some time to thank the women who have been heroes in your life? Why not do that today?
