Through the Word: Knowing God, Making Him KnownSample

Jesus Paid Our Debt:
In order to get us back into a perfect relationship with God, he sent his only son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sin! An example of this would be if you broke the law by having too many speeding tickets, and you did not have enough money to pay for it, you would go to jail! It doesn’t matter if you have done good works before because you are on trial for the speeding tickets that you have. This is where Jesus walks into the courtroom and says to the judge that he will pay our tickets! So we can leave free even though we have been guilty.
This is the start of our relationship back with God because we are no longer separated from him because of our sin! Sit and dwell on the fact that Jesus died for you on a cross, and rose from the dead, even though it should have been us dying on that cross for our sins.
