Head/Heart/Hands Questions Day 14 of 30 (Romans 1–9)

Hope you’ve listened to the Audio Bible! Now, take some time to meet with your group. Below are some sample questions to guide your conversation, but feel free to add your own too.

🧠 Head (What did the passage say?)

  1. What events or teachings—such as Paul’s description of humanity’s sinfulness (Romans 1:18–32; 3:9–20)—highlight the reality of sin?
  2. Where do you see grace, such as Paul’s explanation that we are justified freely by God’s grace through Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21–26; 5:6–8)?
  3. Which person or story—like Abraham being justified by faith (Romans 4:1–25)—best shows justification?
  4. What teaching—such as “the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:6 NIV)—challenges common ideas about what it means to truly live?
  5. How do these chapters—especially Romans 8:1–4—reveal the freedom believers have in Christ?

❤️ Heart (What does it mean for me?)

  1. Which verse—like Romans 8:1—gives you hope in the face of sin’s reality?
  2. How does the grace described in Romans 5:6–8 encourage your daily walk with God?
  3. When have you experienced the assurance of being justified like Abraham?
  4. How does the Spirit-led life in Romans 8:5–11 challenge your heart and priorities?
  5. How does the freedom in Romans 8:1–4 deepen your worship?

🤲 Hands (How will I live it out?)

  1. Share one insight from Romans 1–9 about the seriousness of sin and the hope in Christ.
  2. Extend grace to someone in a tangible way today.
  3. Encourage someone who is struggling with guilt by sharing about justification through faith.
  4. Take a specific step to walk by the Spirit this week, guided by Romans 8:5–6.
  5. Thank God for the freedom you have in Christ through prayer or testimony.
