Who is Jesus?

When was the last time you said the words “Jesus Christ” out loud? For much of the world, it might be an expression of bewilderment or even a curse. For most of us reading this, it would be part of our prayers. “Jesus Christ” is, without a doubt, the two words said throughout the day, and in a variety of ways.

John’s Gospel records a bold claim by the historical person of Jesus: “I and the Father God are one.” This exclusive claim is hard for most people to believe. How is it possible for a human person to be the same as God?

There are numerous accounts of thoughtful people who, because they did not believe in God, set out to prove that God is not real and that Jesus was not who He claimed to be. Many came to newfound belief in a personal God who is revealed most clearly and dramatically in the person of Jesus. Their lives were transformed as they gained a front-row view of who Christ is, embracing a fuller faith through Him.

There are so many ways to develop a more authentic view of God. However, if you want the clearest, most trustworthy understanding of who God is, look to Jesus Christ. Get to know all you can about Him and His teachings so your faith can be enriched.
