Forever Open: A Pilgrimage of the HeartSample

Living by Believing
Jesus did not just come to announce good news—He is the good news. When He stood in the synagogue and read from Isaiah, He declared freedom, healing, and favor for the weary and broken. Then He closed the scroll and said, “The Scripture you have just heard has been fulfilled this very day.”
True belief in the good news is the catalyst that transforms our restless wanderings into a pilgrimage of the heart. When we fully embrace the truth—that Jesus is the resurrection and the life; that anyone who believes in him will spend eternity in the fullness of God’s presence—it reverberates into every facet of our existence. From the way we view the world to the way we interact with others, everything changes when we live by believing in the good news.
But many of us still live under the shadow of shame, unsure if we are really free. If that is you, be encouraged today. The Bible says, “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” If you are in Him, your past no longer defines your identity.
You were made for a new life—one filled with the Spirit, shaped by grace, and abiding in love. It is not about achieving perfection. It is about learning to live by believing in the one who is perfecting you.
Reflect:
1. Does your daily reality reflect the promise of being filled with the Spirit? Have you truly experienced God’s power and life-giving love?
2. What parts of your life would change if you chose to live by believing in Jesus as the Good News?
3. How could living by believing in Jesus as the Good News impact the lives of those around you?
