KNOW A TREE BY ITS FRUIT Many people judge themselves by their intentions and not their actions, but Jesus explains that our actions, or our fruit, not our intentions, reveal the state of our heart. Are there ungodly actions you're explaining away in your life because you believe they have "good intentions?" What areas of your life do you see your intentions and actions lining up the most? What areas do they line up the least? Why do you think that is? Pray and ask God to reveal areas where you heart and actions don't line up. Jesus shares that our heart is the source of our actions, and it isn't possible to have a godly heart and live a totally ungodly life. We must constantly ask God to reveal areas where our actions need to change, and ask Him to show us how our heart needs to change so those actions can change as a result.
