The Way of St James (Camino De Santiago)Sample

St. James was one of Jesus’ disciples whose remains lie in the Cathedral at Santiago de Compostela. Thousands of pilgrims walk there each year but who was James and why was he famous?
"Then the king [God] will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’" Matthew 25:40 (NLT)
Jesus speaking: "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came so everyone would have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10 (NIV)
Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 (BSB)
Questions:
1. Do you ever crave the simplicity of a life of just following instructions? Why or why not?
2. If you could walk the Camino with St. James, what would you ask him?
3. How would it have felt to be James, letting go of everything and simply following Jesus?
