Father Cry: Healing the Heart of a GenerationSample

Day 2: Awakening to the Cry of a Generation
A few years ago, I met a young man on an airplane who desperately needed someone to listen to him. He asked about my Bible and said, “I need that.” But instead of engaging right away, I fell asleep.
When I awoke, the Holy Spirit gripped my heart. I had just missed a divine appointment. In that moment, I realized there is a generation crying out for help, guidance, and hope, and too often we sleep through our opportunities to respond.
The cry isn’t always loud. Sometimes it sounds like rebellion, sarcasm, silence, or even success. But it’s there—a cry for spiritual parents, for guidance, for someone to care.
Scripture tells us that the hearts of the fathers will be turned to the children, and the children to their fathers (Mal. 4:6). This isn’t just a poetic idea; it’s a prophetic reality we must awaken to. The greatest harvest of our time may depend on whether we respond to this cry.
If you’ve been too busy, too tired, or too distracted to notice the needs of the next generation, ask God to awaken your heart. It’s not too late to lean in and listen.
About this Plan

Every generation longs to be known, seen, and loved, especially by a father. In this five-day devotional, drawn from my book Father Cry, I invite you into a journey of healing from parental wounds, discovery of God’s perfect Father-love, and encouragement to become a spiritual parent for the next generation.
