Day 25: A Desire to Please God
Devotional
In conflict, our choices often reveal who we aim to please—ourselves, others, or God. A true ambassador for Christ seeks first to please God above all. Jesus modeled this perfectly, choosing obedience to the Father even in the face of suffering. As we seek God’s presence, He reshapes our hearts, giving us new desires that align with His will. We can't pursue selfish aims and still please God, but when we delight in Him, He gives us the desires of a transformed heart and blesses us with peace, even with our enemies.
Reflection Question:
Who are you trying to please in your current conflicts—yourself, others, or God?
Prayer:
Lord, help me shift my focus from pleasing people or myself to desiring what pleases You. Transform my heart in Your presence and give me the mindset of Christ in every conflict I face. Amen.
