YOU ARE GOD'S FRIEND

Who are you putting your hope in today? I promise that if your hope is in Christ, you will not be disappointed. How do I know this? Because of the love God has poured out to us and has planted in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. I remember being in college and just going through the motions of life. I was struggling to find meaning and purpose. But one day, my eyes were finally opened. I got a deeper revelation that Christ stepped in to rescue me, even though I didn’t deserve it. Today, He is stepping in to rescue you! He loves you. It's a love that goes beyond our human comprehension. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us! This sacrificial love is the lens through which God looks at us. There was a point in time when we were enemies of God, and He reconciled us through the death of His Son. We are now friends of God. I can’t say this enough – this isn't something we earned. It’s a wonderful gift we're invited to embrace. It is a friendship that is unwavering, and it's yours to receive.

Today, meditate on God's love for you. Write "God is my friend" on a sticky note and post it somewhere you can see it throughout the day.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for passionately pursuing me. Thank you for sending your son to die for me while I was your enemy. Today, I am beyond grateful and truly humbled that you call me friend. I receive your love today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
