Principles for Life in the Kingdom of GodSample

GOD WANTS US TO BE FRUITFUL
MAIN IDEAS
• Jesus curses this fig tree because He finds no fruit in it. The principle of bearing fruit is set by God in creation, and He expects to find fruit both in the physical world and the spiritual world.
• The words we utter exert a lot of influence around us.
• God is interested both in our leaves (what we do) and in our fruits (what we are), through the work of the HOLY SPIRIT in us.
The absence of fruit on this fig tree makes JESUS utter a curse upon it. In just a few hours, the fig tree dries. We learn from this that the principle of God’s fruition in creation entitles Him to expect fruitfulness. If JESUS expects a tree to be fruitful, then He expects His people all the more to be fruitful. Our fruit must be both in the physical and in the spiritual realm. JESUS’ miracles have always had a spiritual resonance. The lack of fruit is a sign of a curse. JESUS’ words about the fig tree really highlight this reality. We must also learn that the words we say have power that will produce the effects of either a blessing or a curse.
In the spiritual field, the lesson of bearing fruit is also as clear as can be. The fact that someone goes to a church or is even involved in any function there is not enough for them to be considered a useful tree in the KINGDOM OF GOD. There are, unfortunately, many Christians who do not bring spiritual fruits (love, joy, peace, patience, good works, faithfulness, gentleness, and the curbing of lusts - Galatians 5:22-23). Even though their leaves are green and abundant, and they are very visible in public and involved everywhere, the absence of fruits displeases God. But the harvest refers to all the qualities mentioned above, which show who we are rather than what we do. The Kingdom will be given to those who bring in the harvest of fruit, not to those who merely try to impress everyone around them.
God wants our lives to flourish through what the HOLY SPIRIT does in us, not through what we do with our natural abilities. If you are aware that until now you have been a fruitless tree in the KINGDOM OF GOD and have only produced leaves, it is time to ask the Father to forgive you, and in humility, sincerity and great repentance begin a life in the Spirit, which will make you fruitful and worthy of the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
