It's Okay to Worry About Money (Here's What to Do Next)Sample

Yesterday we established that it's normal to feel anxious about money. Today, let's talk about what to do with that anxiety.
Let’s start by noticing that Philippians 4:6 doesn't simply say "stop being anxious."
It says "do not be anxious about anything" but then immediately gives us a process: prayer, petition, and thanksgiving.
This isn't about suppressing your feelings—it's about redirecting them.
When that financial worry hits, instead of spiraling into worst-case scenarios or beating yourself up for feeling stressed, try this biblical process:
- Prayer: "God, I'm feeling anxious about money right now."
- Petition: "Here's specifically what I'm worried about..." (Be honest. Be detailed. God already knows anyway.)
- Thanksgiving: "But here's what I'm grateful for..." (Even small things count.)
The promise isn't that your circumstances will immediately change—it's that God's peace will guard your heart and mind.
And that's supernatural peace that doesn't depend on your bank balance.
I've learned that God isn't waiting for me to stop feeling anxious before He'll help me.
He's simply waiting for me to bring my anxiety TO Him instead of trying to manage it alone.
I’ll leave you with this thought today:
Your financial worries aren't interruptions to your prayer life—they're invitations to deeper conversation with the One who owns everything and loves you completely. He's not shocked by your concerns. He's been waiting for you to share them with Him.
Let's pray: Father, instead of hiding my financial fears from You, I bring them directly to Your throne. You know exactly what I need and when I need it. Thank You for the peace that surpasses understanding. Replace my anxiety with trust in Your perfect timing and provision.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
