Simple Prayer: How to Pray Like JesusSample

Forgive and Protect Us
Forgiving Others
Read: Psalm 86
"You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you." (Psalm 86:5 NIV)
Devotional Thought:
Forgiveness is a gift, but it’s also a call. If God has forgiven us so generously, how can we withhold that gift from others? Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or pretending hurt did not happen. It means choosing to release others from our judgment. It’s hard—but it’s the path to freedom.
Reflection Activity (Examen Step: Where Do I Need to Forgive?):
As you end your day, ask God to bring to mind anyone you are struggling to forgive. Write their name, and ask God to help you release bitterness and move toward grace, even if it’s one small step.
Prayer:
God of mercy, you have forgiven me more than I could ever deserve. Help me to show that same grace to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
