God's Great StorySample

Redemption
Jesus came to change the heart and not just the circumstances
After the Fall, our heart has become the source of evil, selfishness and broken choices. The problem of humanity is not only in bad deeds, but in the heart, not capable of living in harmony with God’s plan. Jesus has come not only to forgive our sins, but above all to heal the heart. His mission is not simply to give a new start, but to make us new people.
Through Christ, we are not just freed of guilt, but get a new identity, a new heart and a new ability to love, forgive, minister, act. It’s not that God just takes away the old, He creates the new inside. Redemption is not a cosmetic repair, but rather a profound reconstruction of life.
Questions to ask yourself:
- What changes has God already made in my heart, and what does He still want to make?
- Do I let Jesus change me from the inside or confine myself only to the external changes?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I thank You for having come not only to change my circumstances, but to restore my heart. Continue Your work in me – changing my desires, thoughts and motives, so that I can live according to Your plan. Amen.
About this Plan

Every person craves sense. We want to know where from and why we are here, what’s wrong with this world, is there hope and how that all is going to end. In this short plan we’ll dive into four great acts of God’s story – Creation, the Fall, Redemption and Restoration. It’s not just some theological scheme, but the live story — and God invites everyone in. And if we get this story right, we’ll be able to get a clearer view of not only God, but ourselves and our place in this world.
