Being Courageous for the Lord: Devotions for Girls (I Am Fearless)Sample

Saul spent many years persecuting Christians. But, one day he came to know Jesus and his life completely changed. Even his name changed to Paul. Some of the disciples were scared that Saul was tricking them and hadn't changed, but the disciple, Barnabus, believed Saul.
Paul had been preaching fearlessly in the name of Jesus and Barnabus welcomed him. It must have taken a lot of courage to defend Saul to other disciples. Jesus, in His power, can also help us fearlessly love others and share about Jesus.
Reflection:
Is there a time you defended and supported someone when others didn't? What happened?
What do you think it means to speak fearlessly and boldly in the Name of Jesus?
Prayer:
Lord, thank you that I am Fearless. Give me courage to share about You boldly and fearlessly and to stand up for people who love Your Name like Barnabus did. In Jesus' name, amen.
Action:
Write a prayer to the Lord asking Him to help you share about Him boldly and how you can encourage others trying to follow Jesus as well.

About this Plan

We will face trouble in this world like Paul, Barnabus, and Jesus did, but we can still be courageous for the Lord like they were. These devotions will help girls have courage too, knowing that Jesus has overcome the world! These devotions are based on the "I am Fearless" chapter from "I am Yours: Prayers For God's Girl" by Wynter Pitts. Each devotion has a short teaching, reflection question(s), prayer, and action step. On their own or with a parent, girls can enjoy connecting with the Lord and growing in their faith a day at a time!
