Lasting Treasures From Loving God & Others: Devotions for Girls (I Am Available)Sample

We are available to God when we notice others like Jesus did.
Jesus noticed the desperate woman in Matthew 9 was in need. After He healed her body from her sickness, that wasn't enough. He also wanted to see her, connect with her, and heal her heart.
He cared.
When we slow down and pay attention to the people around us, it shows them that we care and that they matter. A simple way to do this is by being aware and looking people in the eyes when we talk with them.
Reflection:
In the Scripture today, how did Jesus show He was aware of the woman and show He cared?
How can you be more aware today and show someone you care?
Prayer:
Lord, thank you that I am Available. Help me to treat others with kindness and attention so they know they matter. In Jesus' Name, amen.
Action:
Today, when you talk with people, look them in the eye to show them that they matter.

About this Plan

These devotions are about lasting treasures in the kingdom of God like loving well, forgiveness, and serving out of love and not selfishness. Where is your treasure? That is where your heart will be also. These devotions are based on the "I am Available" chapter from "I am Yours: Prayers For God's Girl" by Wynter Pitts. Each devotion has a short teaching, reflection question(s), prayer, and action step. On their own or with a parent, girls can enjoy connecting with the Lord and growing in their faith a day at a time!
