Mission Trip Checkup: On MissionSample

Hand-in-Glove with the Master
God wants to work through you on this mission trip. Will you let him?
Like a latex glove, you are most effective when filled by the hand of a skilled worker. God is that hand, and you are the glove.
When you are a tool in the hands of God, allowing Him to work through you, on mission and always, you live out the surrendered life, which is far from limp or willful.
The children of God are God’s physical hands on this planet. Do you think He longs to wipe away tears with those hands? To lift others up? To heal wounds? To take the hand of anyone needing encouragement? To build, protect, give, and restore?
During your time on mission, reach for God, regularly inviting Him to do what you can’t do in your own ability. Let Him lead you and use you in ways only He can.
Practical Considerations:
- How would you rate your hand-in-glove experience so far? What would you like to change?
- If you feel unqualified, ask God for help. Pray that He would be strong where you are weak.
- If you feel comfortable or overqualified, ask the Lord how He can stretch you for His Kingdom.
