Find & Follow Jesus, Quarter 3Sample

Devotional:
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14 (NIV)
Esther was faced with a huge decision. As queen, she held a unique position of influence—but using it meant risking everything, even her life. Mordecai’s words in Esther 4:14 are both a challenge and a reminder: God’s purposes will be fulfilled, but perhaps you have been placed where you are for such a time as this.
This verse speaks directly to us today. Each of us is positioned—by God’s design—in unique roles, relationships, and moments that carry eternal weight. Whether it’s in your family, workplace, church, or community, you may be the voice of courage, truth, or compassion that someone desperately needs.
Esther could have let fear silence her, but instead she chose bold obedience. Her bravery changed the course of history. We may not face the same kind of danger, but we are often called to speak up, step out, and act when it’s uncomfortable. God’s timing and placement are never accidental. He is always at work, even in the ordinary, and He calls us to be faithful wherever we are.
Prayer:
Pray this in a quiet moment: “Lord, give me Your eyes to see where You’ve placed me. Give me the courage to act when You call me to, and the faith to trust Your timing. If I’ve been positioned for such a time as this, then use me, Lord. I’m willing. Amen.”
After praying, reflect: What step of faith might God be calling you to take today?
About this Plan

Follow our quarterly plans to read through the entire Bible in one year, plus a bonus round through the Gospels and Romans. Each day, we encourage you to read the sections from both the Old Testament and the New Testament, and then set aside some time to write down, journal, or memorize the first posted verse from each day. Every week we provide an additional devotional for further discussion on that week's themes.
