Greatness: Matthew 14-20Sample

Jesus’ ministry fulfils over three hundred Old Testament prophecies, showcasing His authenticity and connection to God’s plan. The Gospel accounts present eyewitness testimony to His miracles and resurrection, confirming that He is truly the Son of God. Just as the Scriptures pointed to Jesus, His actions reflected the power of the God of the Old Testament — compassionate, faithful, and mighty to save.
The feeding of the five thousand reminds us of Jesus’ miraculous power and love. His compassion in meeting the needs of the crowd shows that He cares deeply for us, both spiritually and physically. He meets us in our moments of hunger and need, offering provision that satisfies far beyond what we expect. The disciples’ role in distributing the bread challenges us to step out in faith, trusting that Jesus can use even what seems small to accomplish great things.
This miracle encourages us to rely on Jesus’ power and provision in our lives and to see Him as the fulfilment of God’s promises. May we approach Him with faith, knowing that He meets our needs and calls us to serve others with the resources He provides.
Today, ponder this: What things in your life seem impossible and would never happen without a miracle? Could God work in these areas? Pray today into these situations.
