Thoughts of You

As grandparents we know the burst of joy in our hearts when we see our grandbabies. Watching them explore, learn, and grow is a privilege. It’s so rewarding to spend time with them and see the world through their eyes. It’s a delight to be able to enjoy this season of life. The privilege of being called Grandma stirs up thanksgiving and acts as a reminder to praise God for the gift of each precious child. Each of them reflect his goodness, and we are so thankful for the opportunity to walk alongside them as they develop into the people he has called them to be.

Next time you find yourself filled with delight at the thought of your grandchildren, remember that your heavenly Father looks at you with great pride as well. You are his masterpiece, and not a second goes by that you aren’t on his mind. Just as you hope your grandchildren will know the depth of your love for them, God wants you to know how greatly he delights in you.

God wants you to know how much he delights in you. His love for you never changes or fades. He calls you his beloved child, and he longs for you to experience the all-encompassing joy of his presence. Take a moment to soak in this truth: God’s love for you is steady, and he enjoys being with you.

Whenever you think of your grandchildren remember that God is thinking of you. Next time you spend time with them remember that his desire is to spend time with you. Let your love for them give you a greater revelation of how God feels about you.
