Day 5 | SURRENDERED EXPRESSION

“O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand.” ‭ Jeremiah‬ ‭18‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When you express yourself through words, creativity, or any expression, you invite God to place His hands on your life in a special way. Expression is not just a release; it’s a form of surrender. It's saying, “God, here I am. Shape me.” We know that God is the potter and we are the clay. If we humble ourselves like clay in the hands of the Potter as we create, what is produced will reflect His glory!

An interesting fact about pottery is that it doesn't become strong or useful until it's been through the fire, after it's been shaped and molded. The intense heat changes the clay permanently, making it solid, durable, and ready for its purpose. In the same way, your seasons of pressure and testing aren’t wasted. God is forming something lasting and powerful in you as you yield to Him!

So today, express what’s inside. Use your voice. Write your heart. Sing your prayers. Let your creativity become a canvas for His hands. As you do, God increases in you — more of His presence, His power, and His beauty. As you decrease in control, it allows room for Him to shape you into all you were meant to be, which in turn allows your expression to truly reflect Him.

PRAYER

God, I am the clay in Your hands. I choose to humble myself and allow You to shape me, even when it’s uncomfortable. Use my expression to draw me closer to You. Let my life reflect more of You and less of me. Amen.
