Encouragement for New BelieversSample

Paul writes: "We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in…Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed…we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. And He did rescue us from mortal danger, and He will rescue us again." (2 Corinthians 1:8–10 NLT)
For Paul, what looked like the end of the road was just the beginning of a fresh revelation of God’s power in his life. As a result, he went on to say that through it all, he learned not to trust in himself, but in God "who raises the dead."
When your plans seem to be falling apart, God’s resurrection power starts to work in your life more deeply. As long as you have a loving heavenly Father to call on, a word from the Lord to rely on and the faith to activate it, you have every reason to be joyful.
So start talking to God today! Do it with faith, not doubt. Expect God to act on your behalf and watch as He changes your situation. Why? Because you’re starting to trust the One who can truly make a difference! Remember, no matter how strong or successful you are, you’ll always need God’s grace and guidance. The sooner you realise that, the better off you'll be.
