Through the parable of the Wedding Banquet, JESUS teaches us that whenever people disregard GOD and do not heed His Call, they have every chance to be left outside His Kingdom. The Jewish people were the first to be left stranded. Although they were the people of the COVENANT, they ignored the High Calling addressed to them and the costly preparations that had been done for them, choosing to busy themselves with petty pursuits.

The warning remains valid for any person who disregards the Call and does not pay attention to GOD. The disregard and indifference of the people of Israel finally led to inviting all other people to the banquet, which GOD had prepared for all those who receive His Kingdom. Once again, we see those who do not abide by the “customs” of the banquet. To disregard the rules of the Kingdom is another form of recklessness, indifference, and disdain towards GOD.

JESUS brought the NEW COVENANT to us – He is the only One who can facilitate our remaining in the KINGDOM. Personally, He showed us how we can stay in His Kingdom.

There are many Christian trends in Christianity that underline entering into the KINGDOM by Grace alone, but the rules of the KINGDOM must also be understood and known. Some have made their own rules, combining the Old with the New Covenant and sometimes even with man-made rules, which is very risky. Accepting the invitation God extends to all people and abiding by the rules of His Kingdom, which are present in the Bible, ensures your entrance into the KINGDOM OF GOD.
