Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read Philippians 4:4–7 again.
- What stands out to you?
- What does it teach us about what we're called to do when things get difficult?
- What parts of it seem hard to put into practice?
A: Application
What's one way difficult circumstances can make it challenging to share about your faith?
What does this passage invite you to do differently in these situations?
How can you remind yourself of God's message of peace even in dark times?
P: Prayer
Spend some time in prayer saying thank you for God's presence, which is with us no matter our circumstances or perspective. Ask God that you would feel the peace that comes with it and have the humility to praise God even during challenging times. Then, say thank you for the opportunity to share God's peace with others.

About this Plan

Sharing our faith isn’t just about having the perfect words—it’s about how we live. In this 4-week devotional from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore how Daniel and his friends pointed others to God through their actions. Their reputation showed that faith is shared not just in words but in how we live daily. We’ll also see how the right friends can encourage us to live out our faith.
