The Fatherless Journey for Girls

DAY 1 OF 10

Where you will go when you die is the most important decision you will ever make. That is right; it is your decision. You also get to decide whether or not you want a relationship with your Heavenly Father. You most likely did not decide to be fatherless, but now you have a chance to reconcile that event by seeking your Heavenly Father. The first step on the Fatherless Journey is confirming that you have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. God wants you to rest in Him as your Heavenly Father. He will never leave, and He will never forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). All you must do is accept His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as your personal Savior. John 3:16 above shows that God loved us so much that He made a way for us to go to Heaven by sending His only begotten Son. The following verses will show you how to accept this free gift that He is offering to you:

1. Romans 3:23 (NKJV): For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. You must realize that you are a sinner. Have you ever lied, cheated, used a curse word, or disrespected your elder? If so, then you have sinned before, and admitting you are a sinner is the first step. Every person has sinned.

2. Romans 6:23a (NKJV): For the wages of sin is death– The punishment for your sin is eternal death in Hell.

3. Romans 5:8 (NKJV): But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Out of God’s love for us, He sent His Son to die for our sins. This is our hope: through Christ, we can be saved from eternal death.

4. Romans 6:23b (NKJV): but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.– God’s gift is eternal life in Heaven through Jesus Christ.

5. Romans 10:13 (NKJV): For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved – You can accept the gift of eternal life by faith in Jesus. Confess your sin and rely on Jesus alone for your salvation.

6. Romans 10:9 (NKJV): If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. By calling him Lord, we are saying that we will follow him and his ways and his teachings. Of course, we fail, far more often than we want to, but this is where a relationship is so important.

Let's Pray... Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that You are God, and I know that You died in my place to pay for my sin. I believe that You rose from the dead, proving that You are God. Right now, in the best way that I know how, I call upon You and ask You to be my Lord and my Savior and my God. Thank you, Jesus, for dying for me. Help me now to live for You. Amen.
