When Life Throws You a CurveballSample

The Lord is My Shepherd
In this last day of this Bible Plan, allow me to share about the heart of David. He is a man after God’s heart, someone that was always being aware of the presence of God.
One of his most famous Psalms is Psalm 23. Let us read it together and see our life with the Lord as our Shepherd, even as life throws us a curveball.
The Lord is my shepherd,
This talks about our intimacy with God. Our confidence is in God
I lack nothing.
Oh wow. Was David a billionaire? No, he was a shepherd boy. Yet, he put his faith in God that provided for him. Yes, God is our provider!
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
God gives David rest. Yes, Jesus is our rest! He is our comfort as He leads us beside quiet waters.
he refreshes my soul.
He restores and heals us. His shalom peace embraces us.
He guides me along the right paths
God guides us with His wisdom
for his name’s sake.
He gives us purpose and meaning
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,
This is God’s protection for us. He is watching over us.
for you are with me;
This is God’s faithfulness; He never leaves us nor forsakes us.
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
We rejoice in His guidance
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
To feast before our enemies, means the victory is assured and guaranteed. God is our victory, and He makes us more than conquerors.
You anoint my head with oil;
His Holy Spirit overflows in us with unspeakable joy and peace.
my cup overflows.
This is God’s abundance. Jesus has come so that we may have life and that we have it more abundantly.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
This is the true blessings, which is God’s goodness chasing after us.
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
This is eternal security that God bestows to us. It’s an anchored hope, unshakeable.
