Power On!Sample

The encounter that Jacob has when he wrestles the mysterious man shows us something deeper than what is on the surface. This man can represent God, and Jacob's deep wrestle with God - which is something we can all relate to!
Whether we are wrestling with doubt, fear, or prayers that we have not seen answered, in our struggle is where God meets us. God doesn't avoid struggle, but instead He invites us to persevere in faith, even when it is uncomfortable or challenging.
Are you facing a struggle in your life that is challenging or uncomfortable? Are you tired of the wrestle? Bring that wrestle to God and He will welcome your honesty. You might see that in our wrestling, God meets us in surprising ways.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to turn to You in my wrestle. Give me the courage to persevere in the things I am struggling with, and trust that You will be with me until I am on the other side. Amen.

About this Plan

With Jesus, we want to go from "standing by" to stepping out! Through these readings, experience stories of when God led people to turn "on" their spiritual power and saw the Holy Spirit move through them. God is ready to do miracles on Earth, but we can miss out on what He is ready to do by staying in the boat like Peter nearly did. These Scriptures will encourage you to step out of the boat and see the Power of the Holy Spirit move!
