Bible Survey: Part Three

DAY 32 OF 92

Ezekiel is a prophet at the same time as Jeremiah. He is taken captive when Babylon defeats Judah and is taken to Babylon. His prophecies are for the captives.

Ezekiel sees a vision of God’s glory in heaven. He uses lots of terms that indicate that it really is beyond his ability to describe. Then God lets him know that He wants Ezekiel to deliver God’s message to the people in captivity.

The vision of God’s glory must have been both overwhelming and reassuring. After having suffered such a defeat, Ezekiel could have been wondering if God really was all that powerful. After seeing this vision, he had to know that God was still in charge.
