TRANSFORM: A Practical Guide for MenSample

When God calls a man to something bigger than himself, He doesn’t hand him a plan—He gives him a promise: “I will be with you.” He said it to Abraham. To Moses. To Joshua. To Gideon. To Jeremiah. To David. To the disciples. And He says it to you.
The presence of God isn’t a vibe. It’s not a background track for quiet time. It’s your source—for strength, clarity, conviction, and courage. A man who walks in God’s presence becomes dangerous in all the right ways.
But be warned—presence without principle leads to recklessness. Principle without presence leads to burnout. You need both. One is your anchor. The other is wind in your sails for the journey ahead. These are the habits that steady the sails when the winds shift—and keep you close when the fog sets in.
- Read God’s Word regularly. Scripture is the pathway to God and the pathway to personal freedom.
- Journal your thoughts, prayers, blessings, and the tough things you go through.
- God speaks to you primarily about things that you have authority over, such as your life, your family, and your ministry.
- Be humble enough to admit that you could be wrong in hearing God’s voice. Share it with someone who has trusted fruit so they can speak into it.
- Be faithful with what you know to do (e.g. go to church, get baptized, read your Bible, forgive someone, give). This cultivates desire for God.
- God watches how we handle money to see if we can be trusted with true spiritual riches (Luke 16:11).
- When you feel lost, go back to the last thing He said or the thing you know to do.
- Place your heart in a position of surrender so that whatever God says, you are willing to obey.
- Test the spirit: does it line up with the Word of God?
You’ve walked through the Big Four. You’ve rebuilt your mornings, your calendar, your community, and your finances. But none of it lasts without His presence. The transformed man doesn’t just execute principles. He walks with God.
Be that man.
OWN IT:
Do you truly want God—or just what He can give you?
REMEMBER: Principles will shape you, but it’s His presence that sustains you.
