Apologetics: A 5-Day Biblical GuideSample

How does defending the faith lead to worship?
When a Christian engages in apologetics, it should lead to worship.
Today’s reading comes from Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus, where he taught and defended the faith for two years. (You can read the whole story in Acts 19). Paul lists several reasons this church gives him cause to worship God.
Paul gives thanks to God for their love for God and all of God’s people.
Paul gives thanks to God for the church in Ephesus, praying their knowledge and wisdom in Jesus would continue to grow.
Paul gives thanks for how the power of God has worked through the believers in Ephesus.
Paul praises and thanks the church for showing the fullness of Christ.
Paul’s work of apologetics in Ephesus has given him eyes to see the glory and riches of God in new ways. And it is no different today.
As you defend your faith and rely on the Holy Spirit to help you, you will see God work in ways far beyond your expectations.
As you seek to find answers to new questions, you will learn more and more about Who God is and what He has done, expanding your knowledge of the inheritance that is Christ.
As you do apologetics, you will get a front-row seat to the power of God and the wonders of salvation, which will bring you to praise and worship.
Today, as you read, pray God will give you opportunities to defend your faith and see His power at work. May it move your whole being to praise the God who saves.
