God Is Writing Your StorySample

The Story We Tell Ourselves
Are there any lies that you have been believing from the enemy? Don’t let him sell you those fibs! Don’t let the enemy lowball you on a highly valued treasure. That is what he wants for you. He wants to downgrade you, shame you, and undervalue you so that you live your life with timidness, not seeing your worth in the eyes of God. He wants to shine a light on the dirt instead of the gem buried within. He doesn’t want you to discover the true riches found in Christ. He doesn’t want you to discover the value of your calling. He doesn’t want you to discover the power found in the Word of God to defeat him.
He is just a corrupt salesman, undervaluing treasures with lies and trying to convince you of delusions. Don’t be persuaded by the devil’s crafty manipulation because that’s all he can use on you. The power of the Most High King is inside of you. He knows he can’t destroy you with God on your side. It’s as simple as that. You are given victory with Christ. I encourage you: don’t buy into the lies; rather, look to Christ for truth, value, and the calling for which you are created. There is power in your prayer because it brings light to your circumstances and reminds you who is in control.
When you believe in the truth of the Lord, the devil can try his best to manipulate you, but you are shielded from deception by the truth of God. If you don’t tune yourself into God’s truth, then the whispers of lies of the enemy will begin to infiltrate your mind. Reminding yourself of the truth is a daily renewal. Know the truth, defend with the truth, and conquer with the truth.
I do not know your situation; maybe it’s the loss of a family member, a health crisis, family issues, or just a flat-out hard season of life. The enemy uses external circumstances to break us down. The devil can not directly steal our relationship away from the Lord. So he attacks our lives, hoping we will walk away from God. Truth is our weapon to combat lies and remain embedded in truth because sometimes our circumstances, feelings, and the world will tell us otherwise. The enemy might try to whisper quiet lies that this isn’t part of God’s plan for your life, God isn’t with you, or God doesn’t really love you. But Jeremiah 29:11 declares that He has good plans for your life. Isaiah 41:10 says God is with you, and 1 John 3:1 tells us He loves His children. While I don’t know what you are feeling or what you are dealing with, I want to encourage you with one thing. There is a very real, tender, loving, all-powerful God on your side who is a Friend, Healer, Provider, Comforter, and Father. He is with you.
