Day 4: Responsibility To The Lost

The Church does not exist just for us—it exists for those who do not yet know Christ. Every Sunday, every event, every act of service is an opportunity for someone far from God to take a step closer to Him.

Serving is not just a responsibility—it is a privilege. Jesus Himself demonstrated that true greatness is found in serving others (Mark 10:45). When we serve, we do more than complete tasks; we create an environment where people can encounter God. A welcoming smile, a clean space, a prepared seat, a distraction-free worship service—these are not small things. They are the very acts of love that remove barriers between people and Jesus.

Imagine someone walking into church for the first time, broken, searching, or skeptical. Maybe they aren’t sure they even belong in a church. But then, they’re greeted warmly. Someone helps them find their way. Their kids are loved and cared for in a safe space. The distractions are removed, and for the first time in a long time—or maybe ever—they hear about the hope of Jesus.

That’s what serving does. That’s what you do. Your service makes space for the lost to be found.

So step into your role with joy, knowing that every act of service is an extension of God’s love to a world that desperately needs it.
